Daryl Bloomfield (Angel) (the ‘big brother’)

In 1998 Daryl survived his first Triathlon. After a few years of ‘getting by’ in triathlons he decided this sport was not just a ‘oncer’ and worked out he was hooked.

Between 2001 & 2004 he was a member of the committee for the Wellington Triathlon & Multisport Club (Club President 2002-2004), he resigned in 2004 to give new things in life a go. Namely creating events and series that cater for all types of participants and that full gaps in the Wellington market. With the establishment of Scorchers, a significant gap in the market has now been filled. It has taken a lot of Daryl’s personal time and effort to grow the event series to what it is today.

Daryl has completed in multiple iron distance races.

He the one that usually comes up with the really crazy ideas, and then Angel 2 ‘moderates’ them (see below).

Keri has over 10 years experience (yes 10…we know she has a ‘young’ face, but don’t be fooled) as an Event Manager for several corporate and private event management companies both in New Zealand and England. She is well known for her organisation and management of numerous events in New Zealand. Her portfolio includes Hot Air Balloon Fiestas, outdoor community concerts, Gala Award evenings and conferences.

Having returned to New Zealand in 2003, Keri has since become a non Olympic Athlete and is enjoying mixing her triathlon training with her event management, marketing and communications background.

Now working within ‘management’ in the concrete CBD jungle during the week, she can also be found doing her best impersonation of ‘bossy little sister’ during event weekends. Although Mum wont let her stomp her feet too much, so no need to be too worried.
